Artist Statement

While playing with saturated color palettes and simplistic shapes, my work explores the relationship between color and the human psyche. Acrylic paint on canvas is my primary medium, but, through recent opportunities, I have found a love for murals and public art.

Although there is plenty of research to indicate that certain colors and tones evoke certain emotions and thoughts, I specifically focus on the use of color to bring out peaceful and positive emotions. While much of my work is abstract, I often use natural themes and motifs to communicate these ideas. By combining the studies of color and the living world, I hope to unite many walks of life in an encouraging and supportive way.
